Living with Moose in Alaska

What is it like to live among moose? Most of us are happy to make a few moose sightings. Elena Plummer, who took these photos and wrote these notes, lives in Alaska—and obviously among moose! Driving home from Fairbanks we stopped for a bit and watched this calf trying to get to the other side of the fence to rejoin his mama. Poor dear was on the runway side of Eielson Air Force Base and making a terrible racket. Am uncertain how he got back to his mom as the troopers didn't like us stopped at the side of the road taking pictures and scurried us along. See what happens next >
